Learn-to-Skate Programs

Preschool Canskate
CanSkate program designed for children 3-5 years of age as of Dec. 31/09. Fun and safety are emphasized - helmets and mittens are mandatory!

Canskate
A learn-to-skate program for children 5 years of age or older by Dec. 31/09.
Choose one (1) group session for Preschool CanSkate and/or CanSkate:

Monday 6:20 - 7:05 pm $250.00
Friday 6:45 - 7:30 pm $250.00

Skaters registered in the CanSkate program may purchase a freeskate session(s) (ONLY in addition to the group lesson) on either of the Junior times listed below.

Monday 5:10 - 6:10 pm $155.00
Tuesday 5:25 - 6:25 pm $155.00

Learn-to-Figureskate Program

Junior Group*
A group lesson environment introducing freeskate, skills and dance. Private lessons on additional Junior freeskate times are optional but encouraged.

STARSkate Programs

Junior
Skaters should have completed the CanSkate Program and must have a Professional Coach. Private lessons are necessary to work on Preliminary Freeskate, Skills & Dance.

Friday 5:25 - 6:35 pm $180.00

Intermediate
Skaters must have completed Preliminary Freeskate and Preliminary Skills or Preliminary Dances.

Senior

1) Skaters must be 15 years of age as of Dec. 31/09 or 2) Must have completed Senior Bronze Freeskate.

Synchronized Skating Program
Practice ice for Pelham Precise is from 7:05 - 7:45 pm on Monday and 5:30 - 6:30 pm on Wednesday. Attendance is mandatory for all practices. Applicable fees are as follows:

As registration covers only a portion of ice costs, the Team has chosen to fundraise the additional cost. Each skater will be required to fundraise for the 2009-10 season. Fee Information
In addition to the program costs which are listed under the heading PROGRAMS & FEES, the following fees will apply:

1) Skate Canada fee for Junior, Intermediate & Senior STARSkaters
(above fee is included in group program costs)
Skate Canada fee is non-refundable

2) WO Promotional Contest Ticket Book
(recoverable club fundraiser - 1 book per family)

3) Club development fee per family $30.00
4) Refundable Volunteer Deposit
(for STARSkaters only – to be deposited against volunteer hours worked)
Cheque is post-dated for March 31/10

5) Non-Home Club annual fee $40.00
6) Fees are payable at registration: - in full or - 50% at registration with balance payable in one cheque post-dated for no later than Oct. 15/09.
7) Cheques should be made payable to the Pelham Figure Skating Club.
8) NSF fees will be added to any outstanding balance.
9) A $25.00 late fee will apply to registrations received after Nov. 1/09.
10) Refunds - all refunds are subject to a $30.00 administrative holdback fee - (Skate Canada fee).
11) After Nov. 1/09, refunds are subject to Board approval and requests must be accompanied by a medical certificate.
